$5.25 Brewing |

I have recently entered the land of the home brewer. My first attempt was a simple kit brew. "American Pale Ale," and once I tasted that, everything was good. I don't sell my beer, but I'm happy to bring a six-pack to a party. |

12/8/2006 Chocolate "Bock" |

Batch 6 is my most ambitious brew yet. Chocolate and other malts combine to create subtle chocolate and coffee notes accented by a pinch of the real things. It's a "Bock" rather than a Bock because it was fermented at ale temperatures using a tolerant Lager yeast-- a process used to make Steam Beers. |

12/8/2006 Cranberry Ale |

| Batch 5, is a cranberry ale designed to warm for the holidays. A lightly hopped ale with cranberry notes used a combination of various grains and a Heffeweissen yeast. While not a wheat beer, the yeast offers a light sweet banana flavor a subtle hint of clove to compliment to slight tartness of the cranberries. This is perfect for the winter months. | ||||||

| Batch 3, is a Raspberry Wheat Beer with a subtle fruit finish started with a dry, clean taste. A refreshing beer, this was nice in warm days of fall. | ||||||

2/17/2006 Oatmeal Stout |
$5.25 Brewing Oatmeal Stout Label |

Batch 2, a simple oatmeal stout has
completed brewing. The first tasting occurred this weekend. It will
be completely mature by about the second week of March and I'm excited. EDIT: 6/13/2006 The beer matured nicely. It was a little thinner in body than I hoped, but the flavor was very nice. The bottles vanished, and I received good compliments from beer aficionados around the DC area. |
